Rising Therapy

Welcome! My work centers around addressing trauma related issues, supporting survivors of abuse, helping clients navigate major life transitions and disruptions including divorce, job loss, empty nesting, aging parent caregiving, loss and grief. I also help address parenting challenges and communication issues. My experience working with survivors of childhood abuse and domestic violence in the advocacy and crisis capacity allow me to offer empathetic and compassionate support for those who have endured leaving an abusive relationship, a narcissistic parent, neglect, abuse, and/or were parentified.

At my practice a client can expect to safely process traumatic experiences, gain coping strategies and skills, gain insights into emotions and behaviors, and work to create healthier thought patterns that support self-compassion and confidence to better manage symptoms of anxiety, ADHD, post traumatic stress disorder, and intense feelings of guilt and shame. I use Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Mindfulness exercises to support healing and clarity.

I recognize that everyone's treatment needs are unique. I work collaboratively with my clients to make meaningful treatment goals that will help improve or enhance daily functioning. I offer a free 15 minute consultation if you have questions or would like to learn more about my background and all the symptoms and/or challenges I help address at my practice. I respond within 24 hours (Monday-Friday) to set up consultations and appointments.
